Our Awards

At the Toowoomba Assembly in 1999, the Society determined that
members who had made major and sustained contributions to
wheat improvement should be recognised. This resulted in the creation
of an Award, the “Triticum Award for Excellence in Wheat Improvement”.

The Award, presented at the Assembly, consists of stylised wheat ears
mounted on a marble base inscribed with the name of the Award
and the recipient. On the name plate of the Award is the logo of the
1999 Assembly which featured the image of the Triticum Award and the
Assembly theme “Vision 2020”.
